I've only read a portion of it so far but I find it despicable that a multi-billion dollar corporation like the Watchtower would fight with the family of a dead man over his $99K bank account. Just do the Christian thing and let the family keep the money.

If the family are/were JWs, I hope this 'stumbled' them into reality - the Watchtower is a greedy commercial cult.

Seriously. Register a new faith called the MDA as a religion and charitible organization. If the Unitarian Universalists can be a religion without any specific enforcement of any specific god, then so can the MDA.

I would love for it to be a formal mockery of the Watchtower religion and its hierarchy, with "branches" and "districts" and "circuits" and the whole nine yards. Of course, it would ultimately be about freedom so nobody "in charge" would actually hold any authority other than the responsibility to maintain the paperwork necessary to continue as a religion/charity.

Please somebody do this. I have the need to join something.

so i am a corporate trainer and meet lots of new people every week... i always click w one or two of my students but for the last 2 classes i have clicked with two jws!!!

i did not know they where jws and they have no idea i am da'd... but after i befriended them on fb i realized ohhh ish!!!

I was under the impression that Borg attorneys practiced law privately as well as for the Watchtower corporations. I didn't think any of them actually lived at Bethel like rank and file Bethelites. Also, I thought the attorneys who work for the Watchtower got paid, just like the JW suppliers for the Regional Building Committees do. They're not volunteers, they're employees. I think. I could be wrong.

i was reading today about all these people who are upset at the big banks for charging more for accounts, to off-set cost for the change in regulations.

people were saying, "banks are greedy" and "banks are unfair.

" which is the common thought among society about several key industries.

in the continuing court battle in australia, the legal counsel for the witchtower babble and trash religion shocked witless onlookers by saying the there is.

"no christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses in the state of victoria," or indeed the whole of australia.. hahahhahahahaha!.

at least they are not perjuring themselves as any fool can see that their congregations are not "christian".. check this on barb andersons thread!.

I don't think that's 100% correct, BP. "The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" sends letters to congregations worldwide, with instructions from the HQ about how to do various things. They may not have a formally registered presence in Oz by that specific name but the JW congregations sure submit to them and their hierarchy.

like many of you i am fading and am trying to stay the course rather than be dfed due to family ties.

but i so badly want to simply write a letter and be rid of this giant weight on my back lately.

The letter is playing by THEIR rules. When you want to walk, just walk. Don't give them ANYthing.
